The Terres de l'Ebre Biosphere Reserve is a collection of ecosystems and communities that encompass both coastal and inland Catalonia, offering a visit where short distances are perfectly compatible. The Plegadis Foundation provides classrooms and managed natural areas that are ideal for discovering the various delta ecosystems and the wildlife that inhabits them. This is closely connected to one of the Delta's most important crops, the rice fields, an agricultural system that significantly influences the changing colors and interseasonal landscapes of the Ebro Delta, as well as the rich cuisine that characterizes the region. Nearby, you can find one of the best mountainous areas of the Iberian System, the Natural Park of Els Ports, which is frequently home to the Pyrenean ibex and other rock-dwelling animals.
