This private tour is designed for travelers visiting Otaru by cruise ship. We pick you up at Otaru Port or hotels near the port. With a government-licensed, friendly English-speaking guide and a private vehicle, it is a relaxed and efficient way to explore the romantic port town of Otaru.

Stroll the historic Otaru Canal, lined with old stone warehouses and antique gas lamps that glow beautifully at dusk. Wander down Sakaimachi Street to browse handmade glassware at Kitaichi Glass and admire thousands of music boxes at the famous Music Box Museum with its steam clock.

Food lovers can savor some of Japan's freshest sushi and seafood bowls at the lively Sankaku Market, while view-seekers ride the ropeway up Mount Tengu for a sweeping panorama of the city and the Sea of Japan.

This is a fully customizable private tour. Choose 2-3 sites from our itinerary and your guide tailors the day to your interests and pace, making the most of your limited time in port.
