Starting in early July, large schools of albacore tuna move into the coastal waters near Limassol, actively hunting flying fish and small squid. This is the perfect time for trolling — a technique where lures are dragged behind a moving boat.

When a tuna strikes, it’s unforgettable. A powerful hit, a sudden pull, and an intense fight begins. These fish can weigh 20–30 kg, and reeling one in requires strength, patience, and skill. But that’s exactly what makes it so rewarding — to feel the raw power of the ocean on the other end of the line.

After a successful catch, the fish can be cleaned and prepared right on board — tuna can be served as sashimi, smoked, or grilled. Or you can take it home as both a delicious treat and a proud reminder of your ocean adventure.
